Great review as always. Thanks!
At times I carry a Kahr CT380. Very small pistol with a 7+1 capacity. It shoots about as good as they get for a small pistol. At the range last t week and the gun broke a striker/firing pin. Thankfully It was a range session, and not a self defense situation. Im going to take a serious look at this S&W Great review as always. Thanks for posting it. 🤙🏻
Good stuff Thank you for the view
I was thinking that in a way, this gun will possibly become a modern day equivalent of the "PPK For The 21st Century."
Thank you for taking the time to explain the differences
Great content and information!
I lost patience at eight minutes, waiting for any actual usable information that could be considered "reviewing" the firearm (workmanship, part fit, accuracy, durability of parts...). Nothing but "This is a great little gun..." Oh well
Every man needs this in his truck
Add a Tyler “T” grip. Now you have the perfect setup
Great Message answered many of my question but here is one you may have had before maybe not, I live in a 12 unit condo, 2nd. Floor with other condo units all around our unit. What kind of Shell would be best when there are so many other units around? I currently have a 40 Cal pistol and a 22 Cal Luger and hope to buy a pistol stock shot gun like what you have, scared to shoot pistols too dangerous to others not involved.
“This is my rifle this is my gun” to coin a famous American movie. The difference between guns and rifles is that guns are made up of a tubed body and fire on the target with the help of pneumatic force, while rifles are made up of helical loops inside, which are responsible for the stable release of the bullet into the target.
5.56. Was so tracer rounds would shoot. But not in the 223. That was my understanding
Great video. Thanks
5.56 x 45 (M193) is not the same as 5.56 x 45 NATO. If it’s 55gr it is not NATO. The M193 is identical to .223 (except fir minor things like primer crimp, case annealing visible). So 5.56x45 is just fine in a 223.
223 vs 5.56 | What's the Difference? One word. Pressure.
I really want this. One day, when I make more, I want a WW1 era Model 10, that’s my unicorn revolver. But this will scratch that retro revolver itch for now for sure
I got the Roughneck in .45 ACP because I wanted a piece I could use for deep concealment. Being limited to 2 rounds in the weapon I chose the .45 for the horsepower of that round. However, I then did something that some people might find strange. I got a small Glock magazine that holds 10 rounds. Now to state the blindingly obvious I can't use the magazine in the Derringer. But with rounds loaded in the magazine I can thumb them out one at a time and load the Derringer that way. Nice compact way to carry extra ammo that won't have spare cartridges rattling around in a pocket. Not that I actually expect to be running that much ammo through the weapon, but it's nice to have more than you think you'll need.
I have a .22WMR bolt action, which also lets me shoot .22LR, .22L, .22 Short, and even small .22 blast caps. I'm just kidding... can't count the number of people I've talked to over the years who have SWORN that was the case with their particular gun.
It's not even .357 👎🏻👎🏻
So what exactly happens when I reload my brass? I start by resizing the case. A .223 die is used for both .223 and 5.56; there is no such thing as a 5.56 die. I then crimp the brass as I see fit; there is no specific standard. The bullet used for the .223 and the 5.56 is exactly the same. The video implies the COL is longer for the 5.56 than the .223 at 5:12 min. The MAX COL for the .223 is actually longer than the 5.56 according to my Hornady manual. I could not find the SAAMI spec page for 5.56 and had to rely on my Hornady book. At this point then is there any real practical difference between the a 5.56 and a .223? If so what is it. I'm still lost.
So it basically becomes a frag grenade shrapnel fragment. Wounds must be pretty bad
Always like his videos good information.
Leaving magazines with shells in them can also deform the shell
Had my for close to 20, bought it used. Have zero complaints still.
Why would they not do this as the 856 so it's a six shot???
Tins better then new colts they trash ww rules quality fit finsh best only colt tcp defense 6920le true mitlary spec is best ever not cr colts parts guns made buy any but a colt
I'm going to be honest here... I think you - on behalf of Olde English Outfitters or yourself - should do more reviews man. I really, really enjoyed your review. It was calm, chill, informative, and just very well done. I'm impressed. And I'm proud that you're close to me. I'm a few towns up and have been to the shop many times. To see both a reviewer and product come from my local area warms my soul. Keep it up... on a regular basis.
Beautiful gun, I’d love to know the process point
Excellent review and info. I’m a big fan of BOND arms. You are correct. NOBODY builds a better one! Can’t wait to see the .44 and the .50 Express That’s on my radar. Thanks Allen … Mr Bond should be pleased!
The video was very informative
Thanks for explaining the difference between these rifle chambers and including the .223 Wylde in that discussion. It is what I would use if I were to have this type of rifle. One thing that nobody ever really talks about though, is the gun powder...it's hard to talk about comparing ballistics without considering powder type and weight. When you look at two brands of ammo with the same exact bullet weight but the velocities are different that difference could very well be due to type and quantity of powder. Without knowing the specifics of the powder, it leaves a pretty big hole in the discussion for me. It was still informative, so again, thanks for that.
So in the 70's my Dad got a Remington 788 when he was a Drill instructor in Sandiego .... Chambered in .223 Remington, & why cuz he had access to military ball ammo (5.56) still has the rifle to this day & not just my Dad me & my brother's have shot tons of 5.56 thru it & no problem....
very useful
Do these work with HKS speedloaders?
The biggest difference between the 181 models and the newest 2020 is manufacturing quality. The action feels loose and not as smooth as the older versions. It’s like over the last 30 years they went from building quality fitted rifles to “MilSpec is okay” mentality. Though they did improve accuracy with thicker barrels
Thanks a lot
If these are so great, why did mine malfunction 12 times in the first 200 rounds and 9 in the second 200?Quality ammo and I’m no average new owner that doesn’t know how to operate the firearm.
Still the best!
I always unlock the action on my Glock. Just a burnt into my mind habit that I've been doing ever since I started carrying. There's no safety feature, so I'll drop the loaded mag. Pull back on the slide, make sure there no round in the chamber, after which, I'll pull the trigger to unlock the action and then re insert the clip. Gun's completely safe now. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazingly informative. I'm brand new to rifle shooting recently purchased an Armalite M-15 Competition .223 Wylde and I really wanted to know the nitty gritty difference between the two. Every other video I've watched to figure out all the differences focus's entirely on chamber pressure then proceeds to say they are basically the same and no real differences without actually giving much of an explanation and just say to shoot what's cheaper. I knew their had to be some differences in ballistics given the different pressure and you answered every question I had. Thanks so much for all the details.
My dad is a pistol master, but had to disappoint him by being a shotgun man. More shotguns in my home than anything
Love mine ,but will never buy one of their semi auto pistols again...
Good info.
Great refresher training. Thank you.
I bought a fixed barrel mount by them so It will go on a pcc. How well it runs on a pcc… To be determined. Still waiting on the fixed barrel mount to be delivered.
Nice.
Can you please do a full video on the jk ccx
Thanks for the review, I did not know this even existed
This is a very nice piece I just wish I saw the diamondback. 22 .Shoulda woulda coulda .
"Not +P"??? That killed it for me.
Good info...That 410 wound channel would be devastating!!!
